What you can do with SYNC® 3 plus Android Auto
When your smartphone is connected to the SYNC® 3 infotainment system, Android Auto allows you to :
- Control some apps from your phone using the touchscreen
- Use the voice command button on your steering wheel to talk to Google

- Listen and voice-reply to text messages

- Use Google Map’s voice-activated navigation

How to connect your smartphone to use Android Auto
Your phone must be compatible with SYNC® 3 and running on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher. To connect:
- Download the latest version of the Android Auto app on your phone
- Update all of your Google apps
- Enable Android Auto in your vehicle (In the Feature bar at the bottom of the touchscreen, press Settings, then Android Auto Preferences and choose Enable Android Auto)
- Connect your phone to SYNC® 3 with a USB cable
- You’ll see a message on the SYNC® 3 touchscreen asking if you want to connect, press ‘Continue’ and press ‘Agree’ to accept the terms and conditions
- On your smartphone, press ‘Agree’ to accept terms and conditions
- Follow the on-screen prompts on your smartphone to complete the setup
Once connected, you now have access to your phone, text, and other apps through Android Auto on your vehicle’s SYNC® 3 touchscreen.
